Wise Wolf Books Manuscript Wish List
Our goal at Wise Wolf Books is to deliver the best Young Adult fiction on the market. Now more than ever, young readers want to simultaneously be transported from their lives and recognize themselves in the characters they read about, making it an exciting time to be writing and publishing in the Teen/YA genre.
We strive to publish teen/young-adult books from writers of all genders, ethnicity, race, and ability that young readers will love while also staying true to our unique business model.
We are accepting both unsolicited and agented submissions at this time, and we appreciate Teen/YA authors who have a backlist or are writing books in a series.
Our Manuscript Wish List
Teen
- Teen series like The Babysitter’s Club
- Edgy books like the Track Series by Jason Reynolds
- Elements including strong friendships, peer pressure, self-esteem, bullying, and other social issues
- ‘Dear Diary’ type books
Young Adult
- Contemporary, mystery, thriller/suspense, and action-adventure genres
- Stories with elements such as strong female leads, diverse families, small towns, unexpected circumstances, smart underlying social commentary, and quirky characters
- Fun teen rom-coms, like To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, preferably in a series
- Edgy series/characters, like Riverdale
- Bold, unexplored settings, and travel
- Quirky stories
With that being said, let’s talk about what we’re not looking for. This is simply a list of what we’re not necessarily interested in and/or would be a bad fit for.
- Christian or historical fiction (though you can check out our other imprint for Christian and inspirational genres)
- Pictures books, children’s books
- Non-fiction books
- Erotic romance
