In Runaway Train, everything changes for 16-year-old Nico Sullivan when a police officer knocks on her door with news that her sister Kristen had died of a brain aneurysm.  Feeling neglected by those around her, Nico begins to spiral out of control. 

Deciding now is the perfect time to skip town — It’s the early 90’s after all — and Kurt Cobain runs the grunge music scene. After experiencing some serious trauma, Nico decides she doesn’t want to end up like Kristin and grabs her bucket list, turns up her mixtape of the greatest 90s hits and flees L.A..

The goal was to end up at Kurt Cobain’s house in Seattle, but Nico never could have guessed what would happen along the way.
