LAS VEGAS October 27—Wise Wolf Books, Wolfpack Publishing’s new Teen/Young-Adult imprint, led by Associate Publisher Rachel Del Grosso and Associate Editor Lauren Bridges, announces the signing of a 4-book deal with Chelsea Bobulski.

Chelsea’s All I Want For Christmas, pitched as It’s a Wonderful Life meets Wish Upon A Star, and its three sequels were sold to Wise Wolf Books for publication in late 2021.

This YA contemporary romance features Graham Wallace, who has been in love with the girl next door for a decade. Unfortunately for him, she’s been dating his best friend for the past two years. Out of sheer desperation, Graham makes a wish on a shooting star—all he wants for Christmas is Sarah Clarke. When he wakes up the next morning, everything has changed, and he’s the one who’s been dating Sarah for the past two years. Graham assumes the wish would have only come true if he and Sarah were meant to be together, but as it becomes clear that he and Sarah bring out the worst in each other, not the best As he starts to fall for the new girl in town, Graham starts to wonder if some wishes come true to show us what’s not meant to be.

All I Want for Christmas centers around the idea that we, as human beings, often don’t know what we want. We think we know what’s best for us, and we get these images in our heads of how great something might be, and, in so doing, we miss the blessings that are actually right in front of us,” says Bobulski. “My main character, Graham, suffers from this all-too-familiar plight, and Christmas felt like the perfect season for him to discover what truly matters.”

All I Want For Christmas is also Bobulski’s first book featuring a male point of view. “This wasn’t for any particular reason other than Graham just plopped into my head one day and began telling me his story (which tends to be how all of my books start). However, in my life, I am surrounded by good men, and I’m thankful to have been given the chance to write a book from the perspective of a boy who is very much in touch with his feelings, and who, like all of us who are always looking to grow, is willing to learn from his mistakes and come out the other side a better person.”

This book is full of both the joy and the anguish of first love, the realization that perceptions are not truth, and the enchantment, mystery, goodness, and beauty of Christmas. It is our hope it will add to the magic of everyone’s holiday 2021 season.

Chelsea Bobulski is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in history, although she spent more of her class time writing stories than she should probably admit. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio, but now resides in northwest Ohio with her husband, two children, and one very emotive German Shepherd/Lab mix. Autumn is her favorite time of the year, thanks to college football, falling leaves, cozy fireplaces, and the countdown to the most magical holiday of them all: Christmas. She is the author of The Wood (2017) and Remember Me (2019).
